Values

Worcester Sign Company cares about the community and the Earth. We are a low impact business on the environment in the following ways.

Local Business
We are a local company. We make a sincere effort to buy locally.  All our sign hanging contractors are based in Worcester.  We also purchase all of our hardware from Elwood Adams on Main Street.  We live in the community we work in and We are a proud to be Local Company.

Recycling
All of our vinyl we use for our wallscapes and billboards are made from part-recycled material making us a low-impact business on the environment.  We also then re-recycle our vinyl at a Massachusetts facility...  And on occassion, we donate the used vinyl to artists who create a variety of goods and sculptures.

Solar Lighting
Our signs are equipped with solar lights that are easy to install and are independent from the grid. The initial upfront cost is worth the long term savings for the environment and the sponsor.

We do NOT obstruct windows
In some city's it is common practice to hang a wallscape or building wrap over windows. We feel this is bad policy, takes aways from the message, and angers tenants.

We do NOT paint over historic commercial art
Worcester Sign Company believes in preserving the historic commercial art that may be painted on some of the old buildings we have in Massachusetts. In these cases a wallscape would protect the paint from the elements and preserve the art for future generations to see how we communicated 100 years ago.

Waste Vegetable Oil (WVO) for Heating and Vehicles
Our home boiler burns Waste Vegetable Oil and supplies the radiant heat used to keep us warm. In addition, our Ladder Truck runs on a mixture of WVO and Diesel, greatly reducing the impact of emissions.

We don’t trash Birds Nests
If by chance a bird makes their home on one of our structures, we simply “work around” the nest and do not disturb it. It is common to find many species of birds using billboard structures as artificial habitats, Including the American Bald Eagle among other notable birds.

We don’t construct Mono-Poles on fragile Eco-systems.
